Tunisair Express, a Tunisian airline, a subsidiary of the national company, announces the check-in and boarding deadline for its domestic and international flights to its passengers, set respectively at 45 and 60 minutes before departure.

The check-in / boarding cut-off time are three-quarter hours before the departure time for local company flights, and one hour when traveling on an international route. The purpose of this limit is to better regulate the queues and significant waiting times at the airport during major vacation departures. Applied to the entire domestic and international network, it should facilitate all stages of passenger travel from their arrival at the airport until the plane takes off.

Departing from Tunis-Carthage airport, company travelers now have the option of checking in directly from the self-service terminals and using the automatic baggage drop-offs provided by Paris AĆ©roport. Passengers with an electronic ticket also have the option of checking in online at the airline’s website.

What is a boarding pass?

The boarding pass is the document that passenger transport companies require in order to board a ship or plane through the boarding gate.

The card indicates the basic data necessary to authorize access, which are the holder, boarding gate, flight or ship number, seat and boarding time.

What types of boarding passes are there?

There are several types of boarding passes:

– Conventional boarding pass

This is the one that has been used for years, and is obtained at check-in. It is a printed paper containing all the necessary data and it will be used at the time of accessing the ship or plane. It is a slow method as it requires queuing, especially at airports or flights with many passengers.

– Digital or mobile boarding pass

Of more recent creation, this card is accessible from a mobile device such as a tablet or phone, and has a QR code that will be scanned to validate the card. The advantage of this modality is that it cannot be lost or damaged, something that does happen to a conventional boarding pass.

– Online Tunisair Express boarding pass

This card is obtained by accessing a client area with a username and password, and can be printed as many times as desired on a normal printer and paper. In the case of using a digital or mobile card, it is advisable to also carry a printed copy, in case there is something unforeseen (theft or loss of the mobile, no battery, etc …).
