Air Freight: TAV Tunisia awarded RA3 certification
TAV Tunisia, the company responsible for managing the Enfidha-Hammamet and Monastir Habib Bourguiba international airports, has just obtained European RA3 certification. With this certification, it is now recognized by the European Union authorities as an authorized agent, capable of guaranteeing the security of air freight from its point of origin.
Valid until July 2029, this recognition covers both the handling and storage of freight on-site.
A status worth its weight in gold in the logistics chain

To understand the significance of this, it’s necessary to look at the mechanics of air freight transport to the EU. Without RA3 certification, all freight from a third country must, in principle, be re-inspected upon arrival in Europe, which lengthens delays and increases costs. By obtaining this status, Enfidha-Hammamet can now guarantee that security has been ensured from the outset, within Tunisia itself, thus exempting goods from these additional checks once they reach Europe.
A competitive advantage for Tunisair
For Tunisair, which regularly operates flights to Enfidha-Hammamet, the potential benefits are tangible. The Tunisian national carrier can now rely on a certified platform, allowing it to expand its freight network and provide a more competitive service to its customers while ensuring fast processing of their charges.
