TUI launches new London-Djerba route: All-Inclusive offer for next summer
British tour operator TUI has just announced the launch of a brand-new charter route connecting London to the Tunisian island of Djerba.
A direct connection between Gatwick and Djerba
Starting in summer 2027, TUI Airways will offer direct flights from London Gatwick Airport to Djerba-Zarzis Airport. The journey, which will take approximately three and a quarter hours, will allow British travelers to reach the island without any layovers or connections.
The announced frequency is two weekly flights, scheduled every Monday and Friday.
This is a first for the TUI Airways brand on this destination: until now, the group already marketed holidays to Djerba from Luton and Manchester, but through partner airlines. With this new route from Gatwick, TUI is operating its own fleet to the Tunisian island for the first time.
Starting prices from £659 per person
Holiday packages combining flight and accommodation start from £659 per person.
The hotel program offered by the British tour operator in Djerba includes two flagship properties:
– the TUI BLUE Palm Beach Palace, an adults-only beachfront resort positioned in the premium segment;
– the TUI MAGIC LIFE Penelope Beach, an all-inclusive option geared more towards families and groups.
Why Djerba is increasingly popular with British travelers
According to Neil Swanson, Managing Director of TUI for the UK and Ireland: “Tunisia is experiencing growing popularity among the tour operator’s customers. The island of Djerba ticks several boxes that holidaymakers are looking for: abundant sunshine almost all year round, long sandy beaches, competitive prices, and a refreshing atmosphere that offers a welcome change from the busier seaside resorts of Southern Europe.”
Temperatures there remain particularly mild, with averages around 24°C in spring and autumn, and peaks reaching 34°C in the height of summer. This makes it ideal for families, couples or groups of friends looking for a sunny getaway at an affordable price.
How to book your holiday package with TUI?
Holidays to Djerba for the next summer are now open for booking. UK customers can book directly on the tui.co.uk website, at any TUI travel agency, or via the brand’s mobile app.
Please note: this new offer currently applies to TUI Airways flights departing from the UK (Gatwick). TUI entities operating in other countries, such as TUI France and TUI Belgium, continue to offer their own flight and holiday packages to Djerba, with different conditions and departure airports.
